History
The business began as Blue Ribbon Industries, which fell into financial difficulty and closed in 2012. The Bakhresa Group of Tanzania won the bid to take over the operation in 2013, rebranding it as Blue Ribbon Foods and restoring it as a major player in Zimbabwe's milling sector.
Plant
Blue Ribbon Foods operates its wheat milling plant at No. 4 George Drive, Msasa, Harare, with capacity to mill 600 tonnes of wheat per day.
Brands
The company's core flour offering is the Blue Ribbon Flour range, alongside the Bakers Pride brand. Beyond flour, Blue Ribbon Foods also produces Ngwerewere and Chibataura mealie meal, Amandla, Nutresco Maheu, and Aroma Noodles.
